A child’s ability to communicate is vitally important to achieving full development potential as a lifelong learner. Most children are born with all the tools and abilities needed to learn and grow. A child’s desire to communicate is natural, and most babies are able to make their needs and wants known. Communication skills develop in a sequential and orderly manner, and most babies quickly and naturally learn the art of communicating.
However, some children do not. Approximately 10% of children today are diagnosed with a language/learning disorder. By diagnosing, assessing, and treating disorders through therapy and intervention, most children go on to enjoy a healthy childhood.
Through the Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha, WalkRite for RiteCare™ raises money to continue providing quality services through speech pathologists and clinicians at the Munroe-Meyer Institute’s RiteCare™ Clinics.

There is no cost to walk, but we encourage each participant to raise $100 by donating and asking friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family members to support your efforts. You can create an online team through this website to recruit and engage team members, and you can use a variety of tools and resources at http://www.RiteCareNE.org to help your fundraising efforts, whether you choose to do it online or off. Each $100 raised helps children affected with speech and language disorders get services and therapy through RiteCare™, so please get involved today!
